Book hangovers are real! Thanks for putting Monday's Not Coming on my radar. I'm totally out of the loop on anything YA, so I wouldn't have come across this otherwise.
Monday's Not Coming left me feeling the same way...needing what I refer to as a palate cleanser. Some time and space to just let it sit. I read it years ago, but reading your review brought the feeling all back. My go to palate cleanser is usually Nora Roberts. :-). Enjoyable, easy to follow, generally pretty light.
Thank you for surfacing these two books for me. I will check them out. Nothing better than a book you can’t put down - or stop listening to.
I’m a big believer in bailing on a book that isn’t gripping you. Totally fair to give it another try later, but if it’s not gelling, there’s a reason for that, even if you can’t figure it out. Some books don’t feed us what we need at a particular time, some books just aren’t well written (repetitive, etc).
I hadn't heard of any of these books other than Yesteryear, so thanks for bringing them to my attention, especially MNC! I also appreciate your DNFY concept. There have been a few books I feel I should like, but don't quite click with in that moment.
I'm so happy you enjoyed this & the DNFY concept! Sometimes it's not that you hate the book, it's just not hitting in that moment. It's ok to try again later! 🫶🏽
I don't usually DNF books but I also DNFY several titles this month! Something must be in the air. Going to put Monday's not Coming on my list for the future!
I’m still trying to get through Caroline, a Little House on the Prairie retelling. I keep having to set it aside and pick it up again because it is so slow. Monday’s Not Coming has been in my TBR for a while.

You’re so welcome! Would love to hear what you think once you read it.

Ooohhh a palate cleanser - yes, that was probably what I needed.
Monday's Not Coming is officially on my TBR!
Yessss! Let me know what you think once you read it.

Happy early Mother’s Day!
Absolutely, I completely agree. I am so pro-DNFing a book. And thank you SO very much - very very sweet.

Okay, DNFY is so much better than my DNFTry Again!
Right?! Not so definite. ✨

DNFY just feels better for me. Would love to hear what you think about Mondays not coming when you get around to it!

Ohh yeah, I've been there before!
